The Centered Heart Retreat offers a spacious weekend of healing practices that nurture your mind, body, and spirit.
Through breathwork, gentle movement, guided relaxation, meditation, and compassionate connection, you’ll be supported in finding your center and reconnecting to what really matters.
This is your invitation to pause, soften, and tend to yourself in a community of care. Whether you’re feeling depleted, navigating life transitions, or simply longing for deeper peace, this retreat will meet you where you are—with tenderness, wisdom, and love.
Come as you are. Leave with a grounded heart, a clearer mind, and tools to sustain your well-being long after the retreat ends.
Venue:
Sonlit Acres is a beautiful 25-acre property along the Platte River in Waterloo (40 minutes from Eppley Airport).
This comfortable, relaxing space enables you to connect with nature, community and yourself.

Breathwork, gentle movement, guided relaxation, meditation, compassion practices, harmonizing with the elements out in nature, vision board creation.
Participation in any and all activities are optional. We want to provide a space where you can best take care of yourself (even if that means sitting some activities out, taking a nap in a hammock instead or heading outside for a nice hike).Massages are also available to book separately. Please send an email to susi@yourcenteredheart.com to communicate that you would like to book a massage during your stay.

This retreat is open to anyone looking to rest, reconnect, and explore gentle healing practices. Whether you're new to yoga or a longtime practitioner, all are welcome. We aim to create a space that is inclusive, accessible, and supportive.

Not at all. The practices are designed to meet you where you are. You’ll be invited to participate in ways that honor your own pace, needs, and comfort.
This retreat centers around gentle, accessible, somatic-based movement, breath work, meditation, relaxation, and imagery. No fast flows or intense physical demands—just space to feel, soften, and connect.

Your registration includes:
All retreat workshops and guided practices
Nourishing, vegetarian meals throughout the weekend
Lodging based on your selected room type
Access to beautiful grounds and nature for personal reflection, rest, and connection

We’ll send a full packing list closer to the retreat, but in general, you’ll want to bring:
Comfortable clothes for movement and rest
A yoga mat (if you have one)
Any personal items you need for comfort
Weather-appropriate clothing for time in nature
An open heart (and maybe a journal)

A detailed schedule will be shared with participants ahead of time. But plan on the retreat beginning on 9/26 at 4pm and conclude on 9/28 at 11am.
